Coronation and GoA involvement

From Their Royal Highnesses

Greetings and please excuse the cross posting but We would like to address all Northshields GoA's with the same message;

Coronation is growing close and we would like to hear the opinion of the orders as to if and when they would like to do an oath/pledge of fealty at Coronation.

We see a very wide spectrum within our GoAs; The White Scarf's are a very cohesive group with an oath and strong desire to express fealty in a public forum and the other GoAs vary in degrees of collective identity. While We believe oaths exist for the others We would like to know if there is interest in public fealty at Coronation and if so, are the current oaths available and acceptable.

We would separate these oaths from peerage oaths by doing them in separate courts, the Peers and Stallari would done in the morning court just after the official coronation ceremony, and, the GoA oaths would be done early in our first/evening court. Based on responses We get from this missive we will arrange what groups will be called and if there is no interest we will mention that to the populace to avoid looking as if it was an oversight. Alternatively, we could call all GoAs other then the WS at one time but we want to offer the opportunity for each GoA to be recognized as a distinct and special group.

On a slightly different topic, as with our last reign, we would like to stress that we feel the GoA orders are important parts of the Kingdom and over the past 4 years some groups have formed more of an identity then others. We would like to encourage each GoA order to continue to develop a niche within the Kingdom and we would like to help in any way possible. We were discussing integrating symbolism into each order, something physical to bind together the more diverse groups and to identify those that were recognized as worthy of the GoA bestowed by a royal. We are very open to what each GoA might want; do we want to go with something similar to what the Middle does with their equivalent orders, or, do you want something different, or, should we just let it go? One of Our ongoing goals is to continue to build up the GoAs so please suggest what you think might help.

Please feel free to forward this to members who are not on these lists (and please encourage them to join the lists). Further discussions will be via each individual list and We look forward to the outcomes.
